Meghan Markle and Prince Harry start a frenzy about the ‘crisis mode’ that they are in

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly facing mounting pressure in the U.S., with media coverage turning increasingly critical of the couple, sparking what some commentators are calling a “crisis mode” situation.

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield addressed the shift in public perception during a recent YouTube video on her channel Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered, reflecting on the changing tone toward the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Schofield highlighted how Jack Royston, a senior royal journalist for Newsweek, has noticeably altered his stance on the couple in recent years. “I think we can confidently say that there has been a shift over the last 12 to 24 months,” Schofield said. “You have seen him try to hold them accountable and you have seen him call them out when he feels like they’re not being honest with the public.”

She referenced Royston’s latest Newsweek article, “U.S. Magazines That Burst Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Bubble,” which discusses how American media outlets have become more critical of the couple. “Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s U.S. empire has been under mounting pressure in recent years after a series of high-profile articles in American magazines,” Schofield quoted Royston as saying.

According to Schofield, Harry and Meghan have long blamed British tabloids for their declining popularity in the UK, arguing that the media “poisoned the well of public opinion.” However, the tide appears to be turning in the United States as well.

“US magazines have been the outlets throwing the Sussexes into crisis mode,” Schofield stated, noting that American publications are now publishing more critical pieces about the couple’s brand and influence.

The shift suggests that the Sussexes, once widely embraced by American media following their royal exit, are facing increasing skepticism, raising questions about their future standing in both Hollywood and the public sphere.

As scrutiny intensifies, Meghan and Harry’s ability to navigate this new wave of criticism will be key to maintaining their public image and ongoing projects in the U.S.
