Prince Harry is reportedly aware that “time is running out” to mend his strained relationships within the royal family, particularly with his father, King Charles. According to royal commentator Maureen Callahan, Harry’s recent solo engagements suggest a deliberate effort to reconnect with his family without formally rejoining “The Firm.”
In a discussion with GB News, Callahan shared her insights on the Duke of Sussex’s activities and his potential motivations. She pointed out that Harry’s recent public appearances without his wife, Meghan Markle, could be part of a broader attempt to reestablish his ties to the monarchy, especially with King Charles.
“He has tenuous connections still with a few friends of his and William’s back in the UK,” Callahan said. However, she emphasized that Harry understands the urgency of the situation, particularly given his father’s health. “He knows time is running out. Charles is being treated for cancer. He’s an old man.”
Callahan suggested that Harry’s window to repair his relationship with his father is limited. “If he does not make his way back into good graces with Charles while he has the chance, he’s never going to have that chance with William,” she said.
She also explained that Prince William is unlikely to offer Harry the same opportunity for reconciliation. “William won’t have it now. He won’t have it at all. William will be the next King, also.”
