Meghan Markle on her cravings, fears during pregnancy: ‘I’m older’

Speaking to Hello! Magazine, Vancouver-based restaurant owner and chef Vikram Vij recalled his conversation with Meghan about her pregnancy diet. “Meghan said that during her pregnancy, she had eaten only Indian food, and I told her it was the best thing for her!” Vij revealed.

The chef also described Meghan and Prince Harry as “delightful” during their visit to his restaurant, praising their warmth and engagement. Beyond her pregnancy cravings, Meghan has previously spoken about the concerns she faced leading up to Archie’s birth, particularly due to her age.

“I had been really worried going into that labor because I’m older. I didn’t know if I’d have to have a c-section,” Meghan shared. “I had a very longstanding relationship with my doctor, and that’s who I trusted with my pregnancy.”

The Duchess also disclosed that she was discouraged from giving birth at London’s Portland Hospital, a popular choice among celebrities and royals, due to concerns over media attention. “Everything internally was ‘yes, yes, oh yes,'” Meghan revealed. “At no point did someone go ‘absolutely not.'”
