Meghan Markle’s New Project Sparks Surprising Comparisons to Pippa Middleton

Meghan Markle is back in the spotlight as excitement builds for her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, set to premiere in just one day. The Duchess of Sussex kicked off the year with a bang, making a much-anticipated return to Instagram and dropping the trailer for her eight-part docuseries on the streaming giant. Originally delayed due to the California wildfires, the show’s release is finally here, and the buzz is only getting louder.

But as Meghan gears up for her latest project, royal watchers have been drawing some interesting comparisons—specifically between her and Kate Middleton’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton.

Royal journalist and historian Christopher Wilson recently pointed out in the Daily Mail that Pippa once attempted to carve out a career as an influencer and public figure but didn’t find the success she had hoped for. Wilson highlighted how Pippa gained instant fame after her sister married Prince William, despite previously having a low-profile job. However, attempts to capitalize on that fame—including a £400,000 book deal—didn’t exactly go as planned.

Pippa landed a publishing deal with Michael Joseph, the same company that later offered a £22 million advance for Prince Harry’s memoir Spare and published Meghan’s children’s book The Bench. But according to insiders, her book sales were underwhelming, and even Sarah Ferguson’s books reportedly outsold hers. Her contributions to Vanity Fair also struggled to gain traction, with Wilson noting that they were met with “howls of laughter.”

Unlike Pippa, who eventually stepped back from the public eye and embraced a quieter life, Meghan is still pushing forward, determined to build a global brand.
