Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, known for their efforts to protect their children’s privacy, have sparked debate with a recent decision involving their daughter, Princess Lilibet. The Duchess of Sussex officially launched the website for her lifestyle brand, As Ever, after rebranding from its original name, American Riviera Orchard.

While the couple has occasionally shared glimpses of their children—Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three—many eyebrows were raised over Meghan using an image of her daughter on the cover of her brand’s website.

Although Lilibet’s face remains concealed in the distant shot, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams warned that the decision could impact Meghan’s relationship with her daughter in the future. “Meghan and Harry rarely allow their children to be seen,” Fitzwilliams told Express. “Lilibet is too young to protest.”

He added, “However when she looks back, I doubt her appearance on the website of As Ever will be one of her favorite memories.” Previously, Harry and Meghan included their two children in their annual Christmas card, featuring six pictures from the year.

The images captured Archie and Lilibet from behind as they ran towards their parents. Meanwhile, royal commentator Hugo Vickers told The Sun that the couple’s decision to include Lilibet’s image in the brand launch was questionable.

“They are using their children for advertising purposes, especially when their children are officially members of the Royal Family,” Vickers remarked. As scrutiny over their parenting choices continues, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain under the spotlight for their approach to balancing public life with their commitment to privacy.
