Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is reportedly experiencing a wave of regret over the critical remarks he made about his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, in his controversial memoir titled “Spare.” In the book released last January, Harry made several claims that stirred significant family tension and public discourse, notably alleging that Kate had been responsible for an incident that left his wife, Meghan Markle, in tears.

This particular revelation was not well-received, with insiders disclosing to Us Weekly that the Princess of Wales was particularly upset by the accusation. Further exacerbating the situation, Harry’s memoir also contained claims that it was Kate who had suggested he wear a Nazi costume to a Halloween party, a decision that later sparked widespread outrage and embarrassment.

In a chat with the publication, royal expert Tessa Dunlop said, “When you do discover that your sister-in-law has cancer and you’ve written stuff that can’t be retracted, that’s quite a painful place to be in.” “I’m not saying it isn’t,” she said, before adding, “They deliberately criticize the monarchy [and then offer] themselves as an alternative to monarchy. So then when the monarchy is in trouble, we do kind of make a comparison.”

“Can Harry and Meghan really hold themselves off as the caring example now?” she asked. “They’re certainly going to have to be careful of their timing with any releases so that it doesn’t look opportunistic.” She went on to claim that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be careful before criticizing the Royals again. “The big C — it’s kind of untouchable. When that comes creeping in the door, that just reframes everything.”

This specific claim added another layer of complexity to the already strained relations within the Royal Family, casting a shadow over Harry’s relationship with Kate, whom he had once described in endearing terms as the sister he never had but always longed for. Recently, the Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer and now, Harry regrets bad-mouthing Kate, the sister he said he never had but always wanted.

The dynamics within the Royal Family took on an even more poignant dimension recently with the news that the Princess of Wales had been diagnosed with cancer. This development is said to have prompted a profound sense of remorse in Harry, leading him to reconsider the impact of his public criticisms of Kate. The gravity of her illness and the reality of facing such a challenging personal battle have reportedly made Harry reflect on the nature of the remarks he made in his memoir and the strain they placed on his relationship with Kate.

Harry’s expressions of regret come at a time when the Royal Family is rallying around the Princess of Wales as she navigates her health crisis. This situation underscores the deep and complex web of relationships within the Royal Family, highlighting the tensions that can arise from public disclosures and the potential for reconciliation in the face of personal adversity.

As the Duke of Sussex grapples with his feelings of regret, it serves as a reminder of the enduring bonds of family, even amidst public controversies and personal disagreements. The unfolding situation invites a broader reflection on the challenges of balancing public personas with private family dynamics, especially for figures as scrutinized as the British Royal Family.
