Critic Slams Meghan Markle’s New Show as ‘Pathetic’ and ‘Stupid’ in Scathing Remarks
Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan, has drawn harsh criticism, while Kate Middleton marks her 43rd birthday with a family celebration.
Journalist Kevin O’Sullivan dismissed the Duchess of Sussex’s new project as “pathetic” and “boring” during an appearance on the Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered podcast. The show, set to premiere on January 15, features Markle baking for friends in California.
“What she’s offering the public, you know, the new Meghan, this is the new invention, is pathetic,” O’Sullivan remarked. “[This is] a stupid show where she is baking cakes for her mates in California, wearing Cartier designer jewelry and flashy clothes…”
O’Sullivan went on to predict the show’s failure, criticizing it as uninspiring. “What she doesn’t understand is, in order to be successful in show business, in order to make successful programs and successful films, you have to make them not boring… this is nonsense and it’s boring, it’s really boring [and] therefore it will fail.”
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, Kate Middleton celebrated her 43rd birthday with a low-key gathering alongside Prince William, their children, and extended family. Reports suggest that William has planned a romantic date night for Kate, who has endured a challenging year following her cancer diagnosis. The couple’s resilience and unity have been praised as they navigate personal and public challenges.
While Markle’s Netflix project aims to showcase a more personal side of her life, it has already sparked polarized reactions. The criticism highlights the ongoing scrutiny faced by the Duchess as she navigates her career in entertainment and philanthropy.
Kate’s birthday celebrations, in contrast, reflect a quieter and more traditional royal approach, focusing on family and private moments. With both women in the public eye for very different reasons, their contrasting paths continue to capture global attention.
