Donald Trump Jr. found himself in an unexpected situation during a live chat on his Triggered podcast when a restaurant owner revealed he had lost half of his business after publicly supporting Donald Trump’s presidential campaign. The owner, Allen Brenycz from Minnesota, reached out to Trump Jr. with a plea for help, hoping to save his business through a fundraiser.
“I have a digital billboard on the highway in Minnesota,” Brenycz explained in the chat. “I need a repost from you for my pin post. I’ve lost half my business since publicly supporting.” Brenycz’s decision to display his political views through a billboard promoting Donald Trump’s campaign led to a sharp decline in his customer base.
Caught off guard, Donald Trump Jr. responded, “Al, I’ll try to check that out. I haven’t seen it, but if I can find the post, I will check it out, appreciate the support.” Trump acknowledged the challenges faced by those who publicly align themselves with his father’s campaign, noting the backlash many supporters face.
“Again, I think more people get it than you believe, but like we’ve dealt here on Rumble as you’ve seen over on X, you know, the people will go after the advertisers, they’ll go after you if they see you supporting anything like that,” Trump Jr. added. “That’s why we have to go after this and get back to just common sense and decency.”
Brenycz had taken his fundraising efforts to the GoFundMe platform, asking for $2 donations to help his struggling restaurant. His billboard, which runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, was dedicated to promoting Donald Trump’s presidential bid. However, the owner admitted that his political stance had alienated a significant portion of his customer base.
“As many of you know, after coming out and advertising for a political figure I am alienating a good percentage of customers,” Brenycz wrote on his GoFundMe page. “Many folks voting with feelings will just simply refuse to patronize my business because of my support.”
Brenycz went on to argue that Donald Trump is “truly our last chance” to address issues impacting small businesses like his. Despite the financial setbacks, he remained committed to supporting Trump, hoping to rally support from like-minded individuals to keep his business afloat.
