Daniels, the adult film star who received $130,000 to keep quiet about her 2006 affair with Trump, described him as “completely and utterly out of touch with reality.”
In light of the jury’s decision, Daniels expressed a mixture of shock and vindication, reflecting her relief that the jury trusted her testimony. “I think he should be sentenced to jail and some community service working for the less fortunate or being the volunteer punching bag at a women’s shelter,” Daniels stated in a report by The Guardian.

“You always feel like you’re the bad guy, even when you’re not just being up on that stand,” she reflected on her court experience. Meanwhile, a Morning Consult poll found that 54% of registered voters approved of the verdict, and according to Forbes, 44% believe Trump should face jail time. Daniels, like many, believes that justice would be served with Trump’s imprisonment. She lamented the ongoing personal impact of the trial, stating, “It’s not over for me. It’s never going to be over for me. Trump may be guilty, but I still have to live with the legacy.” Her comments reflect a deep-seated desire for accountability not only in the courts but in the court of public opinion, as the nation grapples with the ramifications of the trial.
