Legal Expert Predicts Potential Fifth and Sixth Indictments for Donald Trump

Donald Trump, already facing four indictments in various states, is likely on track for a fifth and possibly a sixth, as legal challenges continue to mount for the former president. This prediction comes from Daniel Gielchinsky, an attorney and founder of DGIM Law in Florida, who spoke to Newsweek about the ongoing legal complexities surrounding Trump.
Trump has been indicted in Georgia, New York, Washington, D.C., and Florida, where he has entered pleas of not guilty in all cases. Currently, he awaits the outcome of a New York prosecution related to a criminal hush money cover-up scheme, with a jury deliberation pending.
The potential fifth indictment could arise from Arizona, where developments in an election interference case have been unfolding. “Donald Trump could be charged in two further criminal cases, and it is ‘more than likely’ he will also be indicted in the ongoing Arizona election interference case,” Gielchinsky told Newsweek. He suggested that such an indictment would most likely stem from another defendant’s testimony against Trump as part of a plea deal.
In August 2023, notable figures including Rudy Giuliani and former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows were indicted on charges such as fraud, forgery, and conspiracy. These charges relate to their alleged roles in a scheme to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Arizona, involving fake certificates of ascertainment that falsely declared Trump as the winner. Although Trump has not been charged in this case, the situation could change.
Gielchinsky commented on the diligence of Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, a Democrat, who might be preparing for further legal action against Trump. “The prosecutor is not finished. It looks to me like she’s a very thoughtful lawyer, very thorough, and she may have believed for whatever reason that she didn’t have enough information yet to indict President Trump but I don’t think we’ve seen the end of it,” he stated.
Furthermore, Gielchinsky also hinted at the possibility of a sixth indictment relating to alleged election interference in Michigan. When asked about the likelihood of Trump facing charges in Michigan, he noted, “Could be, could be. I think the Arizona one is set up that way almost, to plan for indicting him, the Michigan one—it’s a possibility.”
These developments indicate a growing legal storm for Trump, with potential new indictments on the horizon that could significantly impact his political and personal future.
