On a Sunday afternoon in Georgetown, a harrowing incident unfolded as a small plane carrying three people crashed into a two-story home. Thankfully, the house was vacant at the time of the accident, which occurred just before noon in the 500 block of Northwood Drive, close to the Georgetown Executive Airport, as reported by The New York Post.

Despite the severity of the crash, there was a glimmer of hope as all three occupants of the small plane survived. Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, transporting the individuals to a local hospital for medical attention, according to the Georgetown Fire Department.

“We are currently working on a plane crash on the 500-block of North Wood Drive. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will begin its investigation this afternoon. Crews will remain on scene to assist,” the Georgetown Fire Department announced on Facebook.

They warned residents to avoid the area amid the investigation.

“A small portion of Northwest Blvd will remain closed for the time,” police said.
