Mike Pence Is Still Not ‘Convinced’ Donald Trump Had Criminal ‘Intent’ During January 6 Insurrection

Former Vice President Mike Pence revealed in a CNN interview on Sunday, July 23, that he remains uncertain about the criminality of ex-President Donald Trump’s actions on January 6. Speaking on State of the Union with Dana Bash, Pence expressed hope that it wouldn’t lead to a third indictment against Trump.

Addressing the issue, Pence said he had often heard profound concerns during his town halls across New Hampshire about the perceived unequal application of the law. He felt another indictment against Trump would merely intensify such feelings among Americans.

As a potential 2024 presidential candidate, Pence expressed a preference for the public to judge Trump’s conduct on January 6 during the forthcoming primaries.

When Bash questioned Pence about Trump’s remarks on his “passionate” supporters’ possible reaction to his plausible imprisonment, Pence labeled such discourse as potentially hazardous. However, he went on to say that it didn’t concern him due to his unwavering faith in the American populace.
