It all started when neighbors noticed Boebert’s son speeding dangerously through the residential area in a dune buggy, putting other children at risk. One neighbor, worried about the safety of the community, asked the teenager to slow down, which reportedly triggered an emotional outburst from him. The situation intensified when Jayson Boebert, who had allegedly been drinking, got involved.

He just got chest to chest, face to face, looking to fight.”
Another neighbor described the erratic behavior, saying, “He’s going like 50 miles an hour and this is a residential lane, there’s kids. We tried to stop him, and he’d just freaking cuss at us and just left.” Despite the intense situation, deputies who arrived on the scene allowed the neighbors to resolve the dispute themselves.
Jayson Boebert and the neighbor involved declined to comment publicly, though one of the 911 calls reported that Jayson had claimed someone had swung at his son—an accusation that was denied. This incident is not the first time the Boebert household has faced scrutiny. In December 2022, Boebert’s son made a tearful 911 call, alleging that his father had physically assaulted him.
The boy told dispatchers that Jayson had been “throwing him around the house” and acknowledged the presence of firearms in the home, though he didn’t believe his father would use them on him. Despite his attempt to retract the statements later, the call raised concerns about the volatile dynamics within the family.
