Monday, January 6, marked Eric Trump’s 41st birthday, but Kimberly Guilfoyle’s Instagram tribute to the occasion appeared to carry a deeper and more personal undertone, hinting at her fractured relationship with Donald Trump Jr. Instead of focusing solely on Eric, Guilfoyle included a throwback photo of herself with the Trump family—featuring her ex-fiancé, Don Jr., in the group shot.
The gesture, while seemingly a celebration of Eric, hinted at unresolved feelings, with some interpreting it as a nostalgic nod to her past relationship with Don Jr., according to The List. This isn’t the first time Guilfoyle’s social media posts have suggested lingering heartache.
Just days earlier, on December 31, she shared a series of intimate photo collages with Don Jr. in honor of his birthday. While the photos captured happier times, they carried a bittersweet tone, contrasting sharply with the joy she once radiated during their engagement.
Kimberly Guilfoyle and Donald Trump Jr. were once a high-profile couple, united by their shared devotion to the Trump dynasty. Their relationship began in 2018 after Don Jr.’s divorce from Vanessa Trump, with whom he shares five children. By 2020, they were engaged, and Guilfoyle became a prominent presence at Trump rallies, championing the family’s political causes.
“Don and I knew each other for years, but when we went on one date years later, that was it. Sparks. In fact, we have been together from that night on, happily ever after!” Guilfoyle told Metropolitan Magazine in 2022.
However, their “happily ever after” quietly unraveled. By late 2024, the couple was no longer seen together, fueling speculation of a split. Over the holidays, Don Jr. appeared to confirm the rumors by bringing his new girlfriend, Bettina Anderson, to the Trump family’s Christmas dinner at Mar-a-Lago.
