Located at Walt Disney World Resort in lake Buena Vista, in Florida, USA, the theme of the ride is around a Yeti hiding around the peak of Mount Everest. This is also Disney’s one of the many mountain themed rides. The Expedition Everest  also has a number of awards in its belt including the world’s best new theme park attraction and other awards. The ride possibly pays a tribute the historic expedition in search for Himalayan Yeti headed by Edmund Hillary.
