A guy in Nashville is accused of carrying a body from an apartment to a rain culvert

Police apprehended a 38-year-old man on Tuesday, January 23, following a neighbor’s report of witnessing him dragging what appeared to be a lifeless body out of a building and into a rain culvert. The incident took place at Parliament Place Apartments in Nashville, prompting the Metro Nashville Police Department to respond, According to WSMV-TV,

The call to the authorities originated from a maintenance worker and the apartments’ supervisor, who claimed to have observed Dominic Collier moving a body through the building and depositing it into a culvert. In the course of their investigation, the police obtained a photo and surveillance footage of the incident, which facilitated the identification of Collier as the primary suspect.

Upon reaching Collier’s nearby apartment, law enforcement discovered clothing on a chair matching the attire observed in the video evidence. The victim’s body had been meticulously wrapped in blankets and a shower curtain, with a garbage bag and camouflage backpack concealing the head, as reported by WSMV.

Collier faced multiple charges, including abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and failure to report a deceased body, as indicated by jail records. A bond of $75,000 was set in connection with the charges.

According to The Tennessean, Collier exhibited a lack of cooperation with detectives and refused to engage in conversation with them. As of now, the victim’s identity remains undisclosed to the public.
