Country music star Zac Brown and his wife, Kelly Yazdi, have decided to part ways just four months into their marriage. The 45-year-old Zac Brown Band frontman and 32-year-old Yazdi, a multi-talented events producer and actress, shared a joint statement on Friday confirming their decision to divorce.
In their announcement to TMZ, the couple emphasized their ongoing mutual respect. “We are in the process of divorce,” they stated, adding, “Our mutual respect for one another remains intact.”
The statement further expressed their appreciation for the time they spent together and requested privacy as they navigate through this personal phase. “We wish each other the best and will always value our time together,” they said.
Brown and Yazdi exchanged vows in Georgia, Brown’s home state, in late August. Despite the low-profile nature of their wedding, Yazdi briefly adopted “Brown” in her social media handle, a change she has since reversed.
The couple, who reportedly became engaged during a vacation in Hawaii last year, appear to have also disconnected on social media, no longer following each other.
Details about the duration of their relationship and their engagement timeline remain unclear. However, Yazdi was spotted with a diamond ring on her wedding finger in July 2022 while accompanying the band on tour.
Yazdi’s professional background includes roles as an events producer, a SAG-AFTRA actress, stuntwoman, and model. Her acting portfolio features appearances in ‘Hawaii Five-0’, ‘The Beautiful Ones’, and ‘The Martial Arts Kid’, among other projects.
