Violet Grohl, daughter of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, made her social media return on October 23 with her first Instagram post in some time. The 18-year-old reactivated her account and shared a series of photos, marking her reappearance after taking a break from the platform.
According to People, Violet’s return follows a period of online absence. Her father, Dave Grohl, had recently shared in a September 10 post that he’d welcomed a fourth daughter outside of his marriage to wife Jordyn Blum, sparking media interest.
Shortly afterward, Violet’s Instagram account was deactivated, but this week, she returned with a new carousel of images. The post included a dark photo of a building, an image from a gig, and a selfie showing Violet with striking black hair.
In the selfie, Violet embraced a gothic-inspired look, pairing a black bra with layered silver necklaces and a classic dark red lip. She captioned the photo simply with, “:-)”. She also shared another selfie on her Instagram Stories, featuring her pouting with one eye closed while Bauhaus’ Silent Hedges played in the background, complementing her edgy aesthetic.
Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum, who married in 2003, share three daughters: Violet, Ophelia, and Harper. Over the years, Grohl has often spoken warmly about parenthood and the pride he takes in his daughters. This past June, he proudly introduced Violet on stage during Foo Fighters’ performance at the Glastonbury Festival, where she joined him in a memorable family performance.
Violet’s return to Instagram signals a fresh chapter for the teenager, balancing her individuality with her family’s public spotlight, and has already garnered a warm welcome from fans.
