Kristin Cavallari Opens Up About ‘Toxic’ Marriage and Co-Parenting Struggles with Jay Cutler
Kristin Cavallari did not hold back when discussing her ex-husband Jay Cutler during a recent appearance on the Dumb Blonde podcast, calling their relationship “toxic” and accusing him of being a “pathological liar.”
The former reality TV star reflected on her tumultuous marriage, claiming that Cutler brought “zero f****** consistency” to their relationship. Cavallari described their co-parenting dynamic as “so up and down” and said that even after their divorce, navigating their relationship remained a “bumpy road.”
The former couple, who share three children—sons Camden (12) and Jaxon (10), and daughter Saylor (9)—split in April 2020 after seven years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in June 2022. During the interview, Cavallari also addressed rumors that Cutler had an affair with her former friend Kelly Henderson while they were still married.
“I really don’t think anything happened. I really don’t think anything happened,” she said, though admitting some uncertainty. “F***, I don’t know, to be honest with you. Do I know for sure? No.”
Despite her doubts, Cavallari revealed that Cutler’s past comments about Henderson raised suspicions. “Jay used to trash her, which I sort of think if a guy is trashing a girl, there is probably something going on,” she added.
The candid remarks offered insight into the difficulties Cavallari faced during her marriage and the challenges of moving forward. While she continues to co-parent with Cutler, her revelations highlight the lingering complexities of their past relationship.
Cavallari has spoken before about prioritizing her happiness and creating a stable environment for her children since the split. Her comments on the podcast further underscore her journey toward self-awareness and personal growth.
The former couple’s split has remained a topic of public interest, but Cavallari’s forthrightness sheds new light on the strains within their marriage and her perspective on their shared history.
