“I asked my boy for an Advil,” Foxx recounted, before snapping his fingers and adding, “I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything. So they told me — I’m in Atlanta — so they told me my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor. … They gave me a cortisone shot.”

The news of Foxx’s hospitalization was first announced by his daughter Corrine in an Instagram post on April 12, 2023. “We wanted to share that my father Jamie Foxx experienced a medical complication yesterday,” she wrote. “Luckily due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. It’s important to take care of yourself and listen to your body.”

In addition to his gratitude, Foxx emphasized the importance of family support. “My sister and my daughter were my rocks during this time,” he shared. “They took charge and made sure I got the best care possible. I couldn’t have done it without them.”
