“None of Y’all Called Me”: Dave Chappelle Jokes About Sean Diddy Combs’ “Freak-Off” Parties
Dave Chappelle recently shared his take on the allegations and lawsuits surrounding music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, adding his signature comedic twist to the conversation during a 17-minute monologue on Saturday Night Live.
“I’ve been in trouble in my day, but let me tell you, this guy, Puffy… this guy Puffy is in an enormous amount of trouble. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this,” Chappelle said, referring to federal charges against Combs, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution.
“They’ve got this guy in a RICO case by himself,” Chappelle added, highlighting the severity of the allegations. Combs, who has pleaded not guilty, is currently awaiting his May 2025 trial while in jail.
Chappelle then turned his attention to Combs’ infamous “freak-off” parties, joking about why he was never invited, told Billboard.
“A lot of my friends asked me, ‘Dave, did you know anything about those ‘freak-off’ parties?’ I’d be like, ‘Nah, man.’ I didn’t know anything about [the] freak-offs,” he said, theorizing that his lack of an invite might have been due to his looks.
“Can you imagine reading a newspaper and finding out everyone in Hollywood had an orgy behind your back? None of y’all called me. That really hurts,” Chappelle quipped.
The comedian also poked fun at the federal raid on Combs’ Los Angeles and Miami properties in March 2024, during which agents reportedly seized 1,000 bottles of lubricant, various narcotics, and three AR-15s.
“I’m 51, and I don’t think I’ve ever finished a bottle of baby oil in my life,” Chappelle joked.
Referring to the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires that started on January 7, Chappelle added, “Thank God they caught him before those fires—can you imagine the mushroom cloud over his house?”
Chappelle’s monologue delivered a sharp and humorous commentary on the headline-grabbing case, blending wit and cultural observation as only he can. As the legal proceedings against Combs continue, Chappelle’s take offers a moment of levity amid serious allegations.
