Patrick Mahomes shares how he killed time while his wife was giving birth Third Child
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed how he passed the time while his wife, Brittany Mahomes, gave birth to their third child. The 29-year-old athlete admitted to watching football in the hospital as Brittany was in labor with their second daughter, Golden Raye Mahomes.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Mahomes shared, “It was cool that football was on TV when I was in the hospital, so I got to watch a little bit.” He also expressed gratitude to Brittany for allowing him the chance to indulge in his favorite pastime during such a significant moment. “Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football as she was getting ready to give birth to our second daughter,” he added.
The couple, already parents to three-year-old Sterling Skye and two-year-old Bronze Lavon Mahomes III, had announced in July 2024 that they were expecting another child. On Monday, January 13, Brittany took to Instagram to share the news that they welcomed Golden Raye on Sunday, January 12.
Mahomes, who has a packed NFL schedule, was able to attend the birth due to the Chiefs securing the top AFC spot, which granted them a bye week during the playoffs. This fortunate timing allowed him to be present for the special family moment.
As both a father of three and a star athlete, Mahomes continues to balance his professional and personal life, with the support of his wife, Brittany. Their growing family adds another chapter to their journey together, blending life on and off the field.
