Justine Lupe recently shared a heartwarming story about how she revealed her pregnancy news to her co-star Kristen Bell. During her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on October 10, alongside her Nobody Wants This castmates, the 44-year-old actress recalled the memorable moment she told Bell she was expecting.
“I told Kristen first,” Lupe began, laughing as she remembered the scene. “She had invited me over to her house to work out together, which is LOL for a pregnant woman.” The newly minted mom described how she broke the news while Bell was in the middle of a skincare routine. “I told her that I was pregnant, she was in a sheet mask, and I still remember her just freaking out and running around with this mask on her face,” Lupe shared, smiling at the memory, told People.
Lupe, who recently revealed on Instagram that she was over five months pregnant while filming the hit series, admitted that sharing her pregnancy news in the entertainment industry felt nerve-racking. “It’s especially challenging in this industry as a woman,” she explained. “But in my case, everyone was so supportive.”
She went on to express her gratitude for the positive environment on set. “So, to have a set that was filled with such support and have her [Kristen Bell] as our fearless leader, and Erin [Foster, the show’s creator], who was also pregnant, made me feel really comfortable, happy, and excited about being pregnant on set, which is a luxury,” Lupe said.
Lupe’s candid recollection highlights the supportive bond she shares with her co-stars and the unique camaraderie that comes from working in such a close-knit environment.
