Justin Bieber Struggles with Selena Gomez’s Engagement, Feels Betrayed

Justin Bieber is reportedly grappling with complex emotions following the engagement announcement of his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, to music producer Benny Blanco. According to a report from RadarOnline, Bieber has been caught in a “tug of war” of emotions since Gomez revealed that she and Blanco had exchanged rings.

“Justin confided in Benny about his heartbreak over Selena,” a source disclosed. The insider further revealed that Bieber experienced an unexpected sense of loss upon hearing the news. “In a way, Justin felt betrayed (over the engagement), even though he knew he had no right to feel that way,” the source added.

Bieber and Gomez famously had an on-and-off relationship for nearly a decade before parting ways for good in 2018. Just months after their split, Bieber married Hailey Baldwin, now Hailey Bieber, but sources suggest that Selena’s engagement still stirred unresolved emotions for the pop star.

Meanwhile, Hailey has reportedly been doing her best to support her husband amid this emotional period. “Hailey is trying to be as supportive as possible,” a source told Us Weekly. The insider acknowledged that Bieber’s reaction has made things difficult for Hailey at times, but she remains committed to helping him through it.

“It can be hard for Hailey, but she’s always there for him and is understanding,” the source continued. Adding to the drama, fans have been speculating about Bieber’s well-being, with some suggesting he may have turned to substance use to cope with his emotions.

However, Bieber’s representatives have strongly denied these claims. “The recurring narrative that Justin is using hard drugs is absolutely not true,” a rep stated to TMZ. Despite the swirling rumors, Bieber has not publicly addressed Gomez’s engagement. He has, however, been spotted out and about with Hailey in recent weeks, seemingly trying to move forward.

While Bieber is happily married, sources indicate that Gomez’s engagement brought back lingering memories of their past. Whether these emotions will have a lasting effect on him remains to be seen, but for now, he is leaning on his wife and inner circle to help him navigate the situation.
