The Marvel actor told Jimmy Kimmel he received a fake Cameo video from his co-star while he was in the hospital.

Jeremy Renner could depend on his “Avengers” co-star Paul Rudd for some laughter while recovering from his near-death snowplow accident.

Renner told “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday that Rudd had visited him in the hospital a few times and was always “making my day” because “he’s one of the funniest guys around.”

Renner, for example, posted a video Rudd emailed him. It was designed to seem like a message from the Cameo app, which allows users to buy personalized video messages from celebrities.

“So Rudd, who I love so much, happened to be in town as well promoting his movie. And he came by a couple of times to the hospital, always just making my day because he’s one of the funniest guys around, right, Paul Rudd? And then he sent me a video message,” Renner said.

Renner then revealed that Rudd made him a video similar to the ones Stars record for Cameo fans.

“I didn’t even ask him to,” Renner added.

“He made a fake one as I paid him money for a Cameo,” Renner recalled.

“Hey Jerry,” Rudd begins the clip. “I hear you’re a little banged up. Got in a fight with a snowblower apparently? Anyway, I just wanted to send this video. It’s really from the heart and hopes you’re feeling better. Sounds like you are ― apparently you’re a pretty tough guy. Maybe I’ll get to meet you someday.”

Renner was seriously wounded while plowing snow near his property in Reno, Nevada, on January 1. The tracked equipment, which weighed more than 14,000 pounds, ran over him. He fractured around 30 bones and punctured a lung.
