Jennifer Garner Celebrates Daughter Violet’s High School Graduation with Emotional Joy

Jennifer Garner is experiencing a mix of emotions as her daughter Violet, whom she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck, recently graduated from high school. The 13 Going on 30 actress shared her feelings on Instagram, expressing both pride and sentimentality.
On May 20, Jennifer posted a heartfelt message, writing, “Tell me you have a graduate without telling me you have a graduate,” followed by, “Bless our hearts.” The post included photos of Jennifer visibly emotional, clapping for the graduates and wiping away tears on the outdoor campus.
The 52-year-old actress almost missed the graduation festivities, as she shared a video from an airplane, expressing her concerns about making it on time. In the video, she anxiously asks, “How are we going to make it? What are we going to do?” Fortunately, she made it to the event, where she was able to celebrate this significant milestone in her daughter’s life.
Jennifer, who also shares two other children, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with Ben Affleck, has been open about Violet’s journey toward graduation. Although she did not share photos of Violet in her cap and gown, she has kept her followers updated on her eldest daughter’s preparations for the next chapter.
In November, Jennifer explained that Violet was in the midst of the college application process, describing it as both exciting and stressful. During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, she praised Violet for handling the process with grace, noting that she is a self-starter and totally in charge. Jennifer expressed immense pride in her daughter, saying, “I’m proud of her no matter what.”
“I have one ask, and it is that when my kids were really little, on some Mother’s Day, they all sat on my lap one after the other all at once for a picture,” she said on the Kelly Corrigan Wonders podcast in May. “And I want that picture every year, even though it’s ridiculous at this point. They’re so big. But I make them take it and they are just like, ‘Mom.’ But that’s my ask.”
