In his post, Elton shared the details of his health ordeal, writing, “Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye.” He went on to explain that the healing process has been slow and that it will take some time before he fully recovers his sight. “I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye,” he said.
Despite the setbacks, Elton expressed immense gratitude for the support he has received from his medical team and his family. “I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks,” he wrote.
The Rocket Man singer emphasized that he has been focusing on recovery at home, noting, “I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home, and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far.” His message conveyed a hopeful outlook, assuring fans that he remains optimistic about his ongoing healing, TODAY reported.

This health update follows a hospitalization last year after Elton had a minor slip at his home. At the time, he was admitted to Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco for precautionary observation. His representative told NBC Los Angeles that the visit was brief, and Elton was discharged the following morning in good health.
