The 19th and last season of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” will air next month, marking the start of the talk show’s farewell tour.

While you wait for the new episodes, which premiered on September 13, to provide all the laughs and tears, the Ellen DeGeneres-hosted show has a nostalgic promo to fill that “feels” void for now.

Per the “Ellen” Season 19 description,

“With unparalleled celebrity interviews, musical performances, topical stories, extraordinary human-interest guests, and sought-after viral sensations worldwide, DeGeneres will continue to deliver uplifting, inspiring, and hilarious experiences to viewers throughout her final season.”

During a May“Today” show interview, which was taped just hours after DeGeneres revealed she would be leaving her daytime talker in 2022, she said that the blitz of negative press directed at her and “Ellen” last year, including accusations of a “toxic” workplace last summer, were “too orchestrated” and “too coordinated.”

“I have to say, if nobody else is saying it, it was really interesting, because I’m a woman, and it did feel very misogynistic,” DeGeneres told “Today’s” Savannah Guthrie while speaking about the backlash she suffered after allegations surfaced accusing both her and the show’s producers of unkind behavior.

DeGeneres, on the other hand, stated that the controversy surrounding “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in the aftermath of the claims — which resulted in an investigation and the firing of three top producers — is not the reason she decided to end the show with its upcoming 19th season – the source says.

“If it was why I was quitting, I would have not come back this year. I really did think about not coming back… It was devastating,” DeGeneres told Guthrie. “I am a kind person, I am a person who likes to make people happy. I just kept saying to Portia, ‘If I was a fan of somebody, even if I loved them, I would think there must be some truth to it because it’s not stopping.’”

According to Yahoo, in a pair of bombshell Buzzfeed News reports in July 2020, dozens of current and former staffers spoke out about their time working on “Ellen.” Following WarnerMedia’s investigation into various allegations of the workplace and sexual misconduct, three of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show’s” top producers were fired: Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman, and Jonathan Norman.

The “Ellen” farewell season premieres on Sept. 13.
