After his split from Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck is back on the dating scene but has yet to find a life partner, according to new reports. While the Gone Girl star has been meeting new people, sources reveal he remains skeptical about love and isn’t rushing into anything serious.

A report from In Touch indicates that Affleck has started dating again but is taking a cautious approach. “Ben isn’t rushing into any serious relationship at this stage of his life,” a source told the outlet. However, the insider clarified that while Affleck is open to dating, he is prioritizing connections within a community that understands his journey toward sobriety.

“He hasn’t ruled out dating,” the source added. “His new friends, since getting sober, include a lot of AA and Al-Anon members.” The actor, who has been vocal about his struggles with addiction and his commitment to sobriety, is reportedly gravitating toward people who understand the challenges of navigating relationships in a sober lifestyle.

“So, while not everyone is sober, the women he’s meeting know more about navigating a relationship with a member of the sober community,” the source explained. Affleck has reportedly met several accomplished women through his 12-step program, but none have sparked a serious romance—at least not yet.

“He’s met some very accomplished women through the 12-step program, and as far as I know, no one he’s serious about,” the source shared. Despite his cautious approach, rumors have been swirling about Affleck’s growing admiration for his Animals co-star, Gillian Anderson.

An insider told RadarOnline.com that Affleck has been captivated by Anderson, describing her intelligence and charisma as irresistible. “Here’s the juicy bit: Gillian has long been wary of dating the famous types, but Ben’s smarts might just be her downfall,” the source revealed.

The insider further claimed that Affleck has been “gushing about how sexy she is and how much he fancies her.” “He’s lovestruck and starstruck and says Matt’s loss is his big gain,” the source added, referencing Matt Damon, who was originally considered for Affleck’s role in Animals.
