Known for his stage name Bono, Paul David Hewson was born on 10 May 1960 in Glasnevin, County Dublin, Ireland and is an Irish singer, musician and humanitarian.
Bono has earned fame as the main vocalist of the Dublin-based rock band U2 and writes almost all U2 lyrics based on social, political and religious themes. He has also been honored with Nobel Peace Prize and as a Person of the Year.
