Ben Affleck can breathe a sigh of relief after his $20 million Los Angeles mansion emerged unscathed from the massive wildfires that swept through the area.

According to the Daily Mail, the 52-year-old actor was seen returning to his Pacific Palisades home, which narrowly avoided damage from the encroaching flames. Affleck, dressed casually in a tan sport coat and white dress shirt, appeared visibly relieved as he drove back to his property.

The Gone Girl actor had been photographed the night before with a shocked expression as flames were visible dangerously close to his residence. Although his home remained intact, the area was still under evacuation orders when he decided to return.

Earlier this week, Affleck was forced to evacuate the $20.5 million property, which he purchased during his divorce as a bachelor pad. The lavish mansion had been his retreat following the dissolution of his marriage to singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.

The couple officially finalized their divorce recently. According to court documents obtained by TMZ magazine, the judgment was finalized nearly 20 weeks after Affleck filed for separation on August 20.

Despite the harrowing experience with the wildfires, Affleck has remained low-key and focused on returning to his routine. His Pacific Palisades mansion, a symbol of his new chapter post-divorce, remains a testament to resilience amid adversity.
