Stormy Daniels Opens Up About Escalating Threats After Trump’s Conviction

Stormy Daniels recently opened up about her escalating fears in an exclusive interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. The adult film star, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, discussed the severe repercussions following former President Donald Trump’s conviction. Daniels revealed that the threats she faces have become “so much more graphic and detailed and brazen.”

According to HuffPost, Daniels explained, “People don’t care. It’s scary. It just poured gasoline on some of the stuff that I had been going through the entire time,” referring to the impact of Trump’s conviction in the hush money trial. The threats have not only targeted her but have extended to her family and even her farm animals. “Some days I’m picking pellets out of my horse’s body,” she shared.

“There have been moments where you’ve got to check out at least for a minute. I’ve never had a day like that in over six years.” Daniels also revealed she has received threats of sexual violence, including explicit threats to “rape everybody in my family, including my young daughter before they killed them.”

The threats are compounded by ongoing vandalism of her property and significant financial stress. As reported by The New Republic, Daniels is currently facing approximately $600,000 in unpaid legal fees. She claimed that a defamation lawsuit filed on her behalf was done without her explicit consent. “I didn’t fill out that part of the form.

I left it blank, and they rejected it and sent it back, and are demanding that I be held in contempt with sanctions and that I have to pay this money,” Daniels said regarding the case. “I have to pay $600,000 plus sanctions and contempt of court, which comes with a warrant, possibly an arrest warrant, because the things I said which they found him guilty of, I also have to pay,” she added.

When asked about the partial lifting of Trump’s gag order by Judge Juan Merchan, Daniels expressed her concerns. “I’m not afraid of what he could say about me or what he could call me.… I’m concerned [about] him saying something that will make his followers come after me,” she said. Daniels fears that if Trump wins the upcoming presidential election, the threats against her will escalate further.

“I think that he will try to make even more of an example out of me. His followers will probably be even more bold, thinking if they do something, he’ll pardon them,” she explained. Daniels is particularly worried about her teenage daughter’s safety. She revealed that the court requested her daughter’s real name and other personal details, which made her uncomfortable. Daniels’ fear and anxiety highlight the severe personal toll that high-profile legal battles can have on individuals and their families.
