Travis Scott could make $100 million this year
A new Forbes profile of Travis Scott has revealed the dizzying sums of money he has recently racked up from corporate partnerships.
Dubbing the rapper “corporate America’s brand whisperer,” the money mag claims he is on course to bag around $100 million this year.
It reports that the “Sicko Mode” star earns around “$10 million a year or so” from his Nike deal, which produces his sought-after Nike x Travis Scott sneaker line.
It says that he made around $20 million for a deal with games company Epic, which saw him perform live for nine minutes on its wildly successful “FortNite” game.
And Forbes estimates that he “earned at least $5 million from the traditional endorsement part” of his much-hyped deal with McDonald’s — in which he produced his own meal combo — plus “another $15 million from merchandise sales” from the fast-food giant.
A Playstation deal brought in a mere $1 million, but a source told the magazine that it’s “a multiyear deal that could involve a cobranded console and perhaps even a game designed by Scott. Expected earnings: $20 million or more.”
All told, the mag quotes a source in the Scott camp claiming he’s “on track to bring in more than $100 million in earnings this year through creative corporate partnerships.”
