Natalie Harp, a key figure in Donald Trump’s inner circle, has earned a new nickname—“Fatal Attraction”—from her rivals due to her unwavering dedication to the former president, according to a forthcoming book.

Harp, 34, has cemented herself as an indispensable aide to Trump since joining his team in 2022. Known for printing out news clippings for Trump—earning her the moniker “Human Printer”—she has also drawn comparisons to Alex Forrest, the obsessive character played by Glenn Close in the 1987 thriller Fatal Attraction.

Axios reporter Alex Isenstadt explores Harp’s rise in his upcoming book, Revenge: The Inside Story of Trump’s Return to Power, set for release on March 18. Excerpts obtained by Daily Mail reveal how Harp’s relentless commitment has sparked both admiration and concern among Trump’s team.

One particularly eyebrow-raising incident involved former First Lady Melania Trump unexpectedly encountering Harp in Trump’s private quarters at Mar-a-Lago late at night—an area typically off-limits to those outside the Trump family.

“Harp didn’t do well with boundaries,” Isenstadt wrote. “She was there to deliver Trump some documents and didn’t want to wait until morning.” In another instance, Harp reportedly ran after Trump—on foot—during a golf outing in Aberdeen, Scotland. She has also been known to follow the president around his West Palm Beach course with a wireless printer in a golf cart to provide him with real-time media clippings.

Isenstadt described her as “his Girl Friday”, noting that while some senior Trump advisers viewed her as “a migraine”, Trump valued her loyalty. “If Trump wanted to publish a flame-throwing post on Truth Social? Natalie was there to send it through. If he wanted to read a fawning but factually dicey story in a Trump-aligned media outlet? Natalie was there to print it out,” the book states.

Despite her close ties to Trump, Harp reportedly had a meltdown after she was placed on a decoy flight following an assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024. She was furious about being separated from the president and later sent him a text complaining that she was “more important than the other staff members”.

During the flight, Harp even wandered into Trump’s empty bedroom on Trump Force One, shocking staffers who considered the space off-limits. While some Trump insiders view her as overzealous, the White House remains firmly in her corner. Steven Cheung, White House communications director, defended her role, stating:

“She is a trusted and valued member of President Trump’s team. And she is certainly a big reason why his operation has been as successful as it has ever been.” With Trump’s presidency in full swing, Harp’s role in his inner circle appears to be more secure than ever—no matter how many rivals she makes along the way.
