First Lady Melania Trump’s prolonged absence from public life has sparked widespread speculation on social media, with netizens questioning her whereabouts as President Donald Trump continues to make high-profile appearances during his second term.
According to The Daily Beast, Melania was last seen in public alongside Trump on January 24 when they visited North Carolina to assess damage from Hurricane Helene. That same day, the couple traveled to California to survey the devastation caused by wildfires and met with Governor Gavin Newsom. During their meeting, Newsom greeted Melania warmly and reportedly kissed her on the cheek.

Since then, however, the First Lady has been noticeably absent from major events. While Trump made history on February 9 as the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl—watching the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans—Melania was nowhere to be seen.
Instead, the president was accompanied by his children, Ivanka and Eric Trump, as well as Ivanka’s eight-year-old son, Theodore, who joined them in a VIP suite. Melania’s absence extended to key White House events, including Trump’s signing of the Laken Riley Act on January 29, the first piece of legislation in his second term.

The president has also hosted world leaders such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, and King Abdullah of Jordan—without Melania by his side. The first lady also reportedly skipped a special dinner for Republican senators and their spouses at Mar-a-Lago last Friday, further fueling speculation about her whereabouts.

Adding to the mystery, Melania’s social media accounts have remained inactive. The official FLOTUS account on X last posted a tribute to the victims of a plane crash in Washington on January 29, while her Instagram features only her official second-term portrait.
Concerned social media users have taken to X to express their curiosity. “Trump needs help. Where is Melania?” one user asked. Another wrote, “WHERE IS #Melania lately? #LongTimeNoSee.” “Had the Super Bowl been in a Northern state, Trump wouldn’t have attended. BTW Where is Melania?” another speculated.
As Trump continues his packed schedule of public engagements, the mystery surrounding Melania’s absence grows, leaving the public and political observers wondering if she will soon re-emerge or continue to remain out of the spotlight.
