Kate Middleton has shared an emotional update about her cancer recovery, revealing she is now in remission and looking ahead to a “new normal.”
The Princess of Wales visited The Royal Marsden Hospital, where she received care during her treatment, and took the opportunity to express her gratitude in a heartfelt message.
On the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales, photos from her hospital visit were shared, accompanied by a moving caption. “I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year,” Kate wrote.
She expressed deep appreciation for the support she and her husband, Prince William, have received. “My heartfelt thanks go to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.”
As the new Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, the future Queen highlighted her commitment to advancing cancer care and research. “My hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer.”
Kate also shared her relief at being in remission and her focus on recovery. “It is a relief to now be in remission, and I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal,” she said.
Despite the challenges, Kate expressed optimism about the future. “I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. C,” she concluded.
