Wendy Williams’ Brother Reveals Bold and Unexpected Plans to Help Restore Her Health
Tommy Williams, the brother of former broadcaster and media personality Wendy Williams, recently opened up about his efforts to restore his sister’s health and free her from her guardianship. Speaking with The Sun, Tommy shared his plans as he launches a “Free Wendy” merchandise line in support of her move to Florida.
Tommy reflected on the time he spent with Wendy when she visited Florida last month. The visit coincided with her son, Kevin Hunter Jr.’s, college graduation. “I’m very happy with the time that I spent with Wendy,” Tommy said. “I’m looking forward to future times, and ultimately, looking forward to her moving down here soon.”
Tommy added, “That’s something that’s been in my heart and her heart, and we know that everything’s going to work itself through.” He expressed optimism about the future, stating, “And I have no doubt in my mind that it’s going to happen, and it’s going to happen in a good time and not a long, long time.”
The interview also addressed the question of whether Wendy’s guardianship would be moved from New York to Florida. Tommy, while unsure of the timing, said, “I guess we have to find out when that moment arrives.”
However, he remained hopeful, saying, “We remain faithful that everything’s going to be alright. Wendy’s a great person and…I know that great things are going to still occur for her in the great deal of life she has ahead of her.”
Wendy Williams, who has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), primary progressive aphasia, and alcohol-related brain damage, has been under guardianship since 2022. She is currently considered “permanently incapacitated.”
Tommy’s words provide a hopeful outlook for Wendy’s future, despite the challenges she faces. He continues to advocate for her freedom and well-being, emphasizing the love and support they share. As Wendy works toward recovery, Tommy remains confident that better days lie ahead for her.
