Nicole Kidman has sparked speculation about taking a hiatus from acting as she reportedly plans to relocate back to Australia with her husband, Keith Urban, and their two daughters. The potential move comes during a challenging period for the actress, following the death of her mother, Janelle, in September.

A source told Woman’s Day, “Nicole and Keith have had their worst year ever. They’ve barely spent any time together, and she’s been on her own throughout some of her most distressing times.”

Despite her grief, Kidman has maintained a grueling schedule. She’s been filming the six-part crime series Scarpetta in the U.S. and attending red carpet events to promote her latest release, Babygirl. However, her loved ones have reportedly expressed concern over her health and well-being, fearing she may be experiencing burnout.

“The big worry on everyone’s minds is, how much more of this can she take?” an insider remarked. Another source shared, “Nicole is still looking as amazing as always, but she’s been through so much, and she seems to be dealing with her grief by throwing herself into work. There are times when she sleeps on a plane more than a bed. Everyone’s worried about her.”

In response to Kidman’s challenging year, her husband Keith Urban is reportedly considering stepping back from his music career to support her. Urban’s 10-date Las Vegas residency is scheduled to end in February 2025, and sources suggest he may reduce his touring commitments to prioritize his family.

The couple, who share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, are said to be weighing their options for a quieter life in Australia. The potential move could offer Kidman a chance to grieve and recharge away from the spotlight while strengthening her family bonds.

Kidman’s fans have applauded her resilience during this difficult time, but many also hope she finds the space she needs to heal. As the actress navigates personal loss and professional demands, her rumored hiatus and possible return to Australia represent a turning point in her life and career.
