Expert Claims Trump Could Use ‘Trump Card’ to Help Prince Harry Stay in the U.S. as Favor to King Charles
Prince Harry has reportedly received a glimmer of hope as rumors swirl about potential deportation from the United States following his admission of past drug use in his memoir, Spare. Speculation arose after critics questioned Harry’s immigration status, arguing that his public acknowledgment of using drugs could violate U.S. immigration laws.
However, legal experts have suggested that former President Donald Trump might intervene in Harry’s favor as a gesture of goodwill toward King Charles. Speaking to GB News, New York immigration lawyer Michael Wildes shared his perspective on the matter, stating that while Trump is known for strictly enforcing immigration laws, he may take a different approach in this case.
“He could allow Harry to stay as a favor for King Charles,” Wildes explained, adding that Trump has a “sophisticated view” of high-profile immigration cases. Wildes elaborated on the former president’s potential decision-making process, suggesting Trump might even pardon the Duke of Sussex from any domestic legal issues related to his admissions.
“He may just pardon the Prince from any domestic crimes,” Wildes said. Drawing from his personal experience working with Trump on delicate immigration matters, Wildes emphasized Trump’s influence in such situations. “I’ve worked with Mr. Trump personally on very delicate matters in the past relating to immigration, and he literally has a Trump card in these matters,” he noted.
The controversy stems from Harry’s candid revelations in Spare, where he admitted to experimenting with various drugs, including cannabis, cocaine, and psychedelics. While these admissions raised questions about his visa eligibility, U.S. immigration officials have not publicly commented on his status.
The Duke of Sussex moved to the U.S. in 2020 with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children after stepping down from royal duties. Since then, he has been involved in numerous charitable projects and has continued to advocate for mental health awareness.
While Trump’s potential involvement remains speculative, Wildes’ remarks have sparked discussions about the influence of political and diplomatic relationships in high-profile immigration cases. For now, Prince Harry continues his life in California with Meghan and their children, despite ongoing scrutiny surrounding his visa status.
The possibility of Trump intervening as a favor to King Charles could provide a resolution to the debate, allowing Harry to remain in the country without further legal complications. As these discussions unfold, Harry’s future in the U.S. may hinge on a combination of legal expertise and diplomatic discretion.
