Royal Expert Claims Prince Harry’s Future with the Royal Family Looks Bleak After Stepping Down

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are unlikely to attend the annual Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph in London in future years, despite Harry’s notable military background. Since stepping down as senior working royals in 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have seen a significant shift in their roles, including a loss of official privileges.

Royal expert Lee Cohen suggested that Harry’s decision to relinquish his honorary military titles and the right to wear a uniform will likely exclude him from this prestigious ceremony moving forward. Although it’s “conceivable he could still appear, just not in uniform,” Cohen added that the Royal Family would probably avoid including him in such central events.

“It is really unlikely that Harry is going to be able to participate in these central events with the Royal Family going forward,” Cohen explained on GB News. Reflecting on Harry’s choice to step away from his royal duties, Cohen remarked, “It’s a pity for him. Although he created his own path here, he stepped down in 2020. He gave up his honorary military titles and the right to wear a uniform.”

As a veteran and a former Army captain who served in Afghanistan, Harry’s absence from the Remembrance Day service symbolizes a larger distancing from the royal traditions he once closely followed.
