Kamala Harris Calls Out Fox News in Real-Time Over Deceptive Trump Clip, Says ‘That’s Not What You Just Showed’

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski praised Vice President Kamala Harris for delivering a real-time rebuke to Fox News host Bret Baier during a recent interview, highlighting how Harris exposed Fox’s deceptive presentation of a clip featuring former President Donald Trump. “That’s not what you just showed,” Harris firmly responded. She then elaborated, “Here’s the bottom line, he has repeated it many times, and you and I both know that. And you and I both know that he has talked about turning the American military against the American people. He has talked about going after people who are engaged in peaceful protest.”
Using this exchange as a starting point for her analysis, Brzezinski discussed the significance of Harris’s actions during the interview. “In the Fox News town hall with hand-picked women, an extremely, extremely generously supportive audience and host, he actually said much more and named Nancy Pelosi,” Brzezinski noted. This observation referred to previous instances where Trump had openly escalated his rhetoric against his political adversaries, told People.
“He doubled down on the comments,” Brzezinski continued, emphasizing that Trump had reiterated his dangerous stance in a much more direct manner than what the Fox News clip portrayed. “Yet Fox News shows a clip that is completely unrelated to the very point that was being made about the danger of this former president threatening his political adversaries.”
According to Brzezinski, the manner in which Fox News aired the clip misled viewers, glossing over the severity of Trump’s actual statements. However, Harris’s ability to call out the deception in real time shifted the dynamic of the interview and showcased her command of the conversation.
“I think Kamala Harris did something that actually no one has been able to do,” Brzezinski added. “Which is call them out in real-time. I urge people to look at that clip and to pass it around because that was the mask coming down.”
