Authorities in Oklahoma have arrested a couple and their son following an investigation that revealed the son allegedly impregnated his intellectually disabled sister. The investigation began when the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) was alerted that an 18-year-old had given birth, but there was uncertainty about the identity of the baby’s father. A DNA test later confirmed a close familial relationship between the baby’s parents.

The Village Police Department’s investigation uncovered that the parents, Nathaniel Molden Sr. and Tameeka Molden, were aware of an inappropriate relationship between their daughter and their 19-year-old son, Nathaniel Molden Jr., but failed to take action to protect her. All three family members have been arrested in connection with the case.

According to News 9, DHS first contacted police after the baby’s birth when they could not identify the father. Both Tameeka Molden and the teenage mother initially told a DHS worker that the baby’s father was a boyfriend, but police found the situation suspicious. In a disturbing turn, the victim reportedly told investigators that her father was the baby’s father. Authorities ordered DNA testing to confirm the biological parentage.

“We collected DNA from the male members of the household, and it was confirmed through DNA testing at the OSBI to match the brother,” said Village Police Deputy Chief Matt Butcher, speaking to News 9. Initially, police suspected Nathaniel Molden Sr. might be the father due to unusual search queries found on his phone, including how to corrupt a DNA test and whether siblings share the same DNA.

As Per online jail records, Court documents reveal that Nathaniel Molden Jr. admitted to having sexual contact with his sister two years before the birth. He also acknowledged that their parents caught them at the time and punished them but did not intervene further.

Deputy Chief Butcher explained that the parents’ failure to act led to their arrest. “Part of the reason charges were filed on the parents was because there was no intervention to prevent actions toward this child,” he said. “At the time, she couldn’t fend for herself.”

Nathaniel Molden Sr. and Tameeka Molden were arrested on child neglect charges and have since posted bond. Their son, Nathaniel Molden Jr., faces an incest charge and is being held at the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. The victim and her baby are now in DHS custody.
