Demi Moore Reveals Emotional Reunion with Ex Bruce Willis During His Health Crisis

Demi Moore recently provided a candid update on the health of her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, who is battling frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The 61-year-old actress shared insights into Willis’ condition while being honored with the Career Achievement in Acting Award at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival on Sunday, October 13.
During her live discussion at the event, Moore, known for her role in The Substance, opened up about Willis’ health status, revealing that he is “stable” despite his ongoing battle with FTD. “You know, I’ve said this before. The disease is what the disease is. And I think you have to be in real deep acceptance of what that is,” Moore shared. “But for where he’s at, he is stable.”
Moore emphasized the importance of meeting loved ones where they are in their journey, especially when dealing with progressive diseases like dementia. “What I always encourage is to just meet them where they’re at. When you’re holding on to what was, I think it’s a losing game,” she said, reflecting on her approach to supporting Willis through his condition, told People.
She added that finding acceptance in the present moment can reveal unexpected beauty. “But when you show up to meet them where they’re at, there is great beauty and sweetness,” Moore expressed, offering a poignant perspective on her interactions with the Die Hard star.
Moore also shared a personal moment, mentioning that she recently visited Willis, accompanied by her granddaughter, Louetta, who is the daughter of her eldest child, Rumer Willis. Moore and Willis, who were married for 13 years before their amicable split, share three daughters: 36-year-old Rumer, 33-year-old Scout, and 30-year-old Tallulah. Despite their divorce, Moore and Willis have remained close, often spending time together as a family, especially during his ongoing health struggles.
